Wellbeing Practitioner - Part Time 22.5 hours x 2

We’re looking for two Wellbeing Practitioners, to support people to reach their potential whilst delivering a trauma informed wellbeing service to join our team.

 

Providing practical support, advice, and guidance you will support a client’s recovery and enable them to develop self-help strategies to manage the impact of their abuse. This may include support around housing, benefits, court procedures as well as psycho-educational support such as mindfulness, grounding, stabilization, and relaxation to help reduce the symptoms of trauma.

One post is based in Cumbria and one on the Fylde Coast

Business Development Support Officer

This role is a varied support role that will include helping to attract funding through writing funding bids and reports, co ordinating community fundraising and donor management and leading on internal projects across the organisation to improve the range and quality of trauma informed services we offer.

 

You will also take responsibility for co ordinating all monitoring and evaluation work by ensuring that we have regular reporting and data collection to track the success of our work.

 

Barrow, Morecambe, or Blackburn. Travel will be required between sites across South Cumbria and Lancashire.

Training Coordinator

This is an exciting new role here at Birchall to support the development of our internal and external training offer to raise awareness of working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse and the trauma they experience.

 

As part of the community engagement team, you will use your skills and knowledge to identify training opportunities, evaluate its effectiveness and maintain records.

 

Barrow, Morecambe, or Blackburn. Travel will be required between sites across South Cumbria and Lancashire.

Birchall is faced with unprecedented demand for its services and is embarking on an ambitious three-year strategic development plan following consultation with the people we have helped.

Do you want to make a difference for survivors of sexual abuse / violence?

We are specifically looking for new Trustees with expertise in one of the following areas:

Student Placement

We’re delighted that you are considering a student placement with us. Offering counselling at Birchall isn’t your usual run of the mill placement, we provide a supportive and collaborative placement where you are valued and helped to grow.

 

We work with people at a very difficult time in their lives and it’s not always easy but the impact on those people’s lives and the amazing journeys they go on mean we keep striving to do and be the best we can be.

 

Our counselling placements will provide invaluable hands on experience for aspiring therapists wanting to work in trauma to develop their skills, gain practical insights and cultivate empathy.
